The BAT is responsible for providing technical assistance to the DPS in a variety of areas, including:♧ Health policy and planning: The BAT helps to develop and implement health policies and plans at the provincial level. This includes conducting research, analyzing data, and developing recommendations for policy makers.♧ Health service delivery: The BAT provides support to the DPS in the delivery of health services at the provincial level. This includes monitoring and evaluating health programs, providing training to health workers, and managing health facilities.♧ Public health surveillance: The BAT is responsible for monitoring and reporting on public health threats at the provincial level. This includes collecting data on communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases, and other health risks.♧ Health information systems: The BAT supports the DPS in the development and use of health information systems.
