CREATIVE PROGRAMMING:- Independently, I research and develop 25 literacy-based story-times for infants, toddlers, and preschool children per year.- Choose themes for story-time.- Develop and prepare age-appropriate crafts for pre-school story-time. - Collect books, music, musical instruments, puppets, felt board stories, bubbles, scarves, shakers for story-time.- Lead an entertaining, educational, and culturally inclusive children’s storytime for 50-60 patrons two times per week.- Be kind and compassionate with parents/caregivers who arrive late for story-time.- Be kind and compassionate with children who cry/fuss/squirm/stand/wiggle/talk/poop etc. during story-time.Outreach:- Perform storytime for city-run childcare centers.- Design STEM events for local elementary and middle schools.TEAMWORK:- Every month, research, design, and install imaginative, educational, culturally diverse, and welcoming children’s displays for the children’s library entrance. Topics include Black History Month, Women In History Month, etc. - In collaboration with library staff, lead elementary school tours of the library.

Administrative- Submit book proposal to publisher.- Compose and distribute acceptance letters. - Collect author biographies and create distribution lists.- Answer any incoming questions. - Communicate publication schedules and ensure deadlines are met. Oral- Prepare and present conference presentations for books and journal. - Give presentations at Academic Conferences 2020.- Prepare and record radio, podcast and other media interviews.
