As the lead media strategist for the retail, CPG and travel & economic development sectors, Marissa provides senior media relations counsel and support for a variety of Fortune 500 clients.Marissa has strong media relationships in business, CPG, food and beverage, retail, technology and travel/tourism. She has delivered thousands of placements in top-tier, regional, local and trade media. She also leads executive visibility programs, securing speaking and earned media opportunities for C-suite leaders. She has placed executives at prominent events like Fast Company's Innovation Festival and the Wall Street Journal Future of Everything Festival. Marissa spent more than five years working across multiple IBM divisions, including corporate, energy, healthcare, consumer-retail and cyber security, on milestone moments like the Apple-IBM partnership, introduction of Watson and IBM's Centennial celebration. Additionally, Marissa supported key industry trade shows like NRF's Big Show, Mobile World Congress and CES. Prior to joining Ketchum's media relations team, Marissa worked as an account manager, where she focused on DoubleTree by Hilton's Cookie CAREavan tour, a 50-city mobile food truck tour that distributed 250,000 of the hotelier's signature chocolate chip cookies to communities across the country. Marissa traveled to dozens of cities to handle onsite event management and media relations. She was also a key member of the Best Buy/Geek Squad team running the local news engine program focused on the south region. Marissa graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's of Science in Public Relations.
