As Director of Human Resources and Camp Operations, I handle all HR functions for the Athletic Department and I work closely with each sport within Intercollegiate Athletics as well as other departments across campus to ensure that all administrative tasks are complete and university policies are being followed.

As Director of Camp Operations and Outside Activities, I work closely with each sport within Intercollegiate Athletics as well as other departments across campus to ensure that all administrative tasks are complete and university policies are being followed in regards to camps, clinics and academies. I also work in conjunction with Athletics Facilities and serve as the contact for outside activities, which will including rentals from internal and external organizations, Commencement, concerts, conferences, meetings, etc. And finally, I also handle all Human Resource functions for Graduate Assistants, Interns, Volunteers and Hourly employees.

As Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations, I am directly responsible for all aspects of the Event Management, Operations, and Facilities areas for the SIUE Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (NCAA Division I): planning, executing, and evaluating from inception to post event wrap-up for internal and external groups (rentals). I have developed a policy and procedure manual, Emergency Management procedure manual, upgraded our game operations, developed new facility diagrams, improved our budgeting and payroll process, increased community relations, and introduced a new scheduling system for our area, which has helped us improve communication Department wide. I serve as the direct contact for all outside vendors/contractors and oversee allbuilding construction and renovations. I am responsible for Departmental inventory, organizing and seeing through all office moves, and maintaining all exterior and interior access control working with Key Control, ITS, and the Gold Card System. I also serve as the Human Resource Manager for the entire Athletic Department and work closely with many different Departments within the University. As HR Manager, I am responsible for all aspects of hiring and terminating full and part time administrative/professional and civil service staff, civil service extra help (camp counselors and event staff) and student employees. I currently work closely with our Compliance and Risk Management Offices planning and facilitating our sports camps and am responsible for coordinating drug testing, background checks, required paperwork for hire and payroll for all camp employees. During my tenure, I manage and collaborate with full-time employees, graduate assistants, interns, and an Event Staff of over 60 people, including ushers, ticket takers, video production, supervisors, etc.

I developed a policy and procedure manual, as well as a new scheduling system for our area, which will help us improve communication department wide.

I had the pleasure of working as the Head Women’s Track & Field Coach at The University of Dayton for two years and successfully turned around a shambled program. In 2006, we finished fourth at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships, which at the time was the best finish in school history. During that season, our team broke four school records, had six A-10 Champions, seven All-Conference selections, the A-10 Indoor Field Event Performer of the Year, the A-10 Outdoor Rookie of the Year, and two NCAA Regional Qualifiers. In 2007, we placed seven in both the Indoor and Outdoor Championships. We had four All-Conference selections, broke ten school records, and our team was an All-Academic Team. My final recruiting classes have helped UD finish second in both the Indoor and Outdoor A-10 Championships for the past two seasons, becoming a nationally recognized program.

I was the Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at Texas Lutheran University (NCAA DIII) in Seguin, TX for four years. In this very short period of time, we established ourselves as one of the top Division III Cross Country and Track & Field programs in the state, as well as the South/Southeast Region. In 2002, 2003, and 2004, we had history making seasons by winning three consecutive American Southwest Conference (ASC) Cross Country Championships. I was also voted ASC Cross Country Coach of the Year for all three of those seasons. From 2002-2004, we placed second in the ASC Track & Field Championships. In 2005, we won the ASC Track & Field Championships, which was the first in school history, and I was voted Track & Field Coach of the Year. In my tenure at TLU, we had 9 athletes compete in the NCAA Track & Field Championships and had 14 Provisional Qualifiers for the national meet that just narrowly missed competing in their respective events. While at TLU, I coached four All-Americans and three Academic All-Americans. In 2005, I was voted as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association South/Southeast Regional Coach of the Year for dominating the conference meet and producing many of the top regional and national athletes. After my departure, my last recruiting class went on to win two National Championships in the 4 x 100m and 4 x 400m relays.
