BIO:Kandis Rushing grew up in West Texas and relocated to Austin in 2005 where she found her passion in real estate marketing. Rushing currently serves as a Director of Marketing for Johnson Development Corp., one of the top developers in the nation. She has extensive experience managing and executing builder/developer marketing strategies and maintaining business relationships with the Home Builder’s Association, Austin Board of Realtors, and the Real Estate Council of Austin. Rushing says, “Being a Director of Marketing in the real estate industry has taught me the definition of ‘above and beyond’ not only in terms of my career, but my personal life as well. I strive each day to go the extra mile and give my all whether it’s on a special project, through a new business relationship, or maintaining strong faith.”Rushing is the current Greater Austin Sales and Marketing Council President for 2024 and has been a member since 2011. She was named Marketing Professional of the Year by the Home Builders Association in 2013 and 2016, Sr. Marketing Professional in 2024, and served as the Max Awards Chair in 2014, 2015, and 2024. Additionally, Rushing is member of HomeAid Austin, and served as Secretary on the Executive Board of Directors from 2017-2021. She served on the Home Builder’s Association of Greater Austin’s (HBA) Board of Executive Directors, as the Vice President of Communications for 4 years, which was one of her greatest accomplishments. In 2017, Rushing was named Young Professional of the Year at the Marketing and Excellence Awards in Austin, TX. Bryson, a Master-Planned Community in Leander, TX, has been led by Rushing as the Marketing Director since 2014 and is a 5X winning Community of the Year Development. Her newest community, Nolina, is located in Georgetown, TX and opened in May 2024. Briggs Ranch in San Antonio, also led by Rushing, is set to open spring 2026. She is a 19-year Austenite and a current resident of Leander, TX.
