Here I enjoyed a challenging and varied role in which I spearheaded the business with a focus on growth and development, taking over the day to day running of the organisation and established the group priorities and business plan. During this time, successfully moved premises and re-established the procedures and ensure uninterrupted customer service, seeking new customers and secured new contracts worth 300K to 400K through bid and tender management. Key to this role was the management of a cross-functional team of 30 including, 5 Office staff, 10 drivers, 15 Warehouse Operatives whilst also managing Subcontractors. Within this capacity, I oversaw the storing and secure delivery of 50 – 60 containers on average, consistently achieving SLAs, targets and KPIs. Within this role, I project managed a building move, achieving accreditation from the Soil Association and preparing for BRC whilst overseeing facilities improvement. Reporting to the Group Management Director, I chaired senior management meetings, developed presented detailed and comprehensive reports.

Following my many successes as Site Shift Manager at Raymond Brown Recycling, I was contracted as Operations Manager at Recycle Southern Ltd. where I assisted the business with a £500,000 installation of an MRF unit and review operational processes, reviewing site regulations to EA Permits and Health & Safety policies. Within this capacity, I sourced and purchased MRF unit and oversee manufacture and installation, project managing the installation which reduced costs, increased productivity and encompassed extensive facility management. During this time, I held full responsibility for a budget of £4 million, managing a team of 15 Drivers, 20-yard staff and 7 office staff, reporting directly to the Managing Director/ Owner.

A303 Recycling Centre

Here I was tasked with providing management and facility cover during a period of growth for a flagship recycling centre, whilst maintaining site regulations to EA Permits and Health & Safety policies. For this, I played a key role in advising on growth techniques and productivity maximisation, whilst conducting operational due diligence to support the development of the business. I also conducted a 3-stage site review on how the shift was managed on a 24-hour site, maintaining site regulations as well as health and safety.

Generated £6M turnover; managed all distribution and logistics projects for multi-operational facility, provided full lifecycle project management and oversaw performance of 30+ staff. • Directed and instructed staff and customers on current legislation and waste classification to meet all ADR and EA segregation requirements.
