Research assistant on several impact evaluation projects in Africa (Mali, Niger, Rwanda and South Sudan) led by Dr. Patrick Premand. My main responsibilities included conducting monthly high frequency checks in Mali, developing a monthly report of high frequency data analyses in Sahel countries (Mali and Niger) and maintaining dashboards (Excel and Rshiny) for both Sahel countries and Rwanda. Additional analyses – on baseline and high frequency data – were also regularly requested.

As a Senior Policy Associate with Innovations for Poverty Action in Abidjan, I worked on a project that aimed to increase the use of rigorous evidence in employment policy in Côte d’Ivoire. My mission consisted of providing technical support to the the Ivorian government, producing policy briefs on a series of issues related to the employment situation in Côte d’Ivoire and disseminating the results of these notes. The policy briefs were compiled into a report that was published at the end of the project by the World Bank.

As a Dalberg consultant working within a team specialized in the mining sector for the Delivery Unit (DU), I undertook analyses of different aspects of the mining sector, managed project stakeholders and facilitated the execution of DU projects related to mining activities. The DU is a support structure under the authority of the Prime Minister’s Office of the Republic of Guinea which aims to accelerate the execution of key government initiatives.

As an analyst with Dalberg, Kane supported the Millennium Challenge Corporation on two private sector development projects in Francophone West Africa. The first project looked to evaluate private sector demand for industrial land in Côte d’Ivoire – with a specific focus on demand for PK24, an industrial zone north of Abidjan and the second project looked to investigate the key private sector business policy environment constraints in Sénégal – namely labor regulation, tax administration and import barriers.

Worked as an intern with the Atlantic Council's Future Europe Initiative. Helped with the drafting of policy briefs, memos, and talking points. Also helped with the preparation and execution of high-level events and assumed the position of Special Assistant to the Vice President for one week.
