About Kane D.

As a dynamic and driven ICT Manager and Technology Program/Senior Project Manager having worked in both the private sector (KAZ Group [Telstra subsidiary] and Fujitsu Australia Limited) and Defence I have consistently delivered projects on time and to budget. As such, my 20+ years of combined technology operations, project/program management experience is not limited to the Defence industry having delivered ERP implementation projects, Microsoft Sharepoint 2010, Electronic/Paperless AP, PM software and CRM (SAP) implementation in commercial delivery. I am a leader of 20+ years and am a graduate of the Royal Military College, Duntroon. I am CPPM qualified with the AIPM. I am also PRINCE2 Practitioner certified. I also have experience working with the PMBok methodology through my work with KAZ Group/Defence and also the Macroscope methodology through my time with Fujitsu Australia Limited.In a previous role I managed the program/portfolio of ICT projects across Forces Command (representing 85% of the Australian Army) and worked closely with government agencies and/or commercial vendors such CIOG, CFI, ASD, BDA, CDM, Fujitsu, Telstra, Thales, Frame Group et al. I was responsible for security/cyber management across multiple domestic sites for the Defence Force School of Signals, in 2016.In 2018, delivered the CASG OPA002/17 project through to FOC for Special Operations Command in support of JTF632.In 2019, I was seconded to Army Headquarters as the Tactical Data Link Integration Manager. I developed strategic documentation for Land Tactical Data Link integration as well as having a leadership role for the future direction of this technology within Army.In 2019-20 I led JP9347-1 as Project Director, Platform Modernisation. A component of the role was Fundamental-Input-to-Capability assurance. I also provided advice and governance on Cyber initiatives within JP9347. I was responsible for the direction, strategy and governance of a major Defence Capital Project in adherence to the Capability Life Cycle (now One Defence Capability Management System).In 2020-21, I was the ICT Program Director for the Health Directorate in ACT Government. My team delivered the Check In CBR application for the ACT community. Recent roles have included working with CIOG delivering the JOP SharePoint Upgrade project and Cyber Advisor/Security Engineering Manager for the AIR6500 Program.I have recently joined KPMG as an Associate Director in Cyber Investment.I have my own company providing Cybersecurity advice and management.I hold a AGSVA security clearance.
