I’m a health advocate, and as part of the management team of one of the only plants of its’ kind in New Zealand, I’m passionate about sharing the health benefits of our products.My role as Technical Manager at Taranaki Bio-Extracts (TBE) Ltd means I’m responsible for food safety and quality regulatory compliance – this includes designing, writing and registration of the site’s Risk Management Programme (RMP) for the Human Consumption plant, Halal requirements, and global certifications. With strict audit procedures central to New Zealand Government’s food safety and quality approvals, I’m an onsite HACCP Coordinator managing Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems. TBE Ltd is a New Zealand company specialising in added-value processing of grass-fed beef bone, manufacturing a range of petfood, technical and human-consumption products for local and export markets. Food quality and safety compliance requires a thorough approach with keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills. The practical application of compliance means developing processes that are accessible to others and enable consistent and excellent outcomes.Project management expertise, a strong solutions focus and proven success in team management supports the lead I bring. Driving the team forward from a sustainability and environmental perspective has seen me steer the application of new technology with our membrane technology waste management system (Vibratory Shear Enhanced Processing (VSEP)). I enjoy working within focused teams who live ‘collaboration’ – this means encouraging people’s ideas and approaches to generate a positive team culture and forward-thinking dynamic.
