I have worked as a Trainee Barista for 3 months and although that isn't a lot of experience I have picked up 4 key skills from that job which are Communication, Respect, Responsibility and Cleanliness.Over the months of Working in a Costa Shop I would help with taking orders and reciting them to the full time Baristas who knew how to make the coffee on the machines. I would also help with cleaning the toilet facilities (most of the time it was my designated job).I would do pot washing and carry lots off trays with plates, glass's and mugs on top of them and whizzing back and forth carrying a heavy amount of pots to and from the the floor area to the kitchen and back to the till (never breaking a thing). I would rarely take breaks at the job and would get on with the tasks because I enjoyed working there and always doing something and being useful to the team.I used to restock supplies and keep everything stacked so customers had more of a choice in foods, sugars and all that business so that the shop did not look empty and would also grab milk bags for the full time baristas so that could get on with their job.
