Designed PCB’s using Altium then routed and plated them using onsite facilities. The PCB’s would then be populated using hand soldering or pick and place machines. The PCB’s were used for the testing of current products.Undertook fault finding on returned customer products. I would have to find the fault and put the unit under testing then look into if the fault would have been picked up in production. I would then write the findings in a report, which was then sent to the customer.Worked on multiple design projects with other engineers from other disciplines. I had to communicate effectively with them to allow my PCB designs to perform to specification and that their design could be integrated.Came up with the idea to design a test box using an Arduino Nano to replace the programmable logic controller which was previously used. This helped to save money, time and allowed easy use for new or existing employees. I designed the test box using my own ideas and input from the design meetings I organised. I then designed, programmed and built the test box.
