I'm excited to share my journalism and public relations knowledge with the Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jackets as an adjunct instructor of journalism.I presently teach Journalism 374 -Basic News Writing (fall semester) and Journalism 375 - Advanced News Writing (spring semester), core writing courses for the minor in journalism.

Pat Kane Photography provides coverage of local and regional sports and events for business and nonprofit clients.

I bring my multimedia skills to serve client areas including the Office of Sustainability, the Honors College, National Scholarship Office and general assignments across campus. Other responsibilities include updating the VCU News website, creating daily media reports, earned media analytics, responding to media inquiries and assisting with other tasks for University Public Affairs.

As multimedia editor, I served as the primary photographer and videographer for our daily and weekly newspapers. I worked with reporters and editors to produce multimedia story packages, led social media planning and served with our Digital Media Team on company-wide digital initiatives.Toward the end of my time at The Progress-Index, I helped the newsroom transition to Gatehouse/New Media Investment Group's ownership.

I served as staff writer covering Chesterfield County and Colonial Heights city, and later Hopewell city, for our daily and weekly newspapers.
