As a Company Director and Head of Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC), my chief responsibility was leading the oversight and management of the Jarden FICC business and the development of strategy. A notable highlight of this tenure was playing a key role in the Jarden Group’s successful acquisition of the OMF Group, leading to the establishment of a thriving organisation with 130 employees focussing on equities, investment banking, corporate advisory and commodities. This was all built on the foundation of OMF’s Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL).Further Achievements• Established a company to house OMF’s interest rate broking business, identifying an alternate AFSL holder and facilitating pre-sale extrication from OMF to benefit OMF shareholders and allowing the smooth progression of OMF’s sale to Jarden.• Worked closely with the Jarden group to expand authorisations on its AFSL.• Contributed to the firm gaining Market Participant authorisation, allowing it to trade on the ASX.• Established and assumed the directorship of new Australian entities for the Jarden group, facilitating new businesses and investment as well as a new HR structure.• Coordinated the effective integration of OMF Australia into Jarden, managing the rebranding process as well as notifications to stakeholders including regulators, providers and partners.

OMF Markets was a boutique financial services firm advising and facilitating trading in a full range of financial products available in the foreign exchange, carbon, options, CFDs and futures markets.As the Country Manager and Head of OMF Australia, I managed all aspects of the Australian financial services business including P&L and expense management.I was primarily responsible for liaising with regulators including the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC), adding licence authorisations, submitting reports, responding to queries and requests from the regulator, and ensuring financial conditions of the licences were met.I am particularly proud of establishing the Australian operations of an overseas-based firm, developing from scratch a business with a multimillion-dollar revenue each year.Further Key Achievements• Facilitated the only successful application for an AFSL in 2016 as well as obtained additional authorisations with other regulators such as AUSTRAC.• Established the local compliance function and framework, developing onboarding and know your customer (KYC) capability.• Successfully identified, recruited and managed sales teams across a range of products to create a profitable client business.• Recruited and managed a highly effective local legal and compliance team; and directed a team distributing environmental financial products including carbon credits and energy derivatives.• Developed a go-to-market strategy facilitating client acquisition and driving business development, enabling sales teams to identify, onboard and maintain profitable and loyal client relationships.• Created a profitable international payments business for retail and wholesale clients, both B2C and B2B, and developed local bank relationships to support this business.

As the Director – Head of US Rates Trading, I was primarily responsible for managing teams in trading interest rate derivatives, foreign exchange and government bonds in a matrix-reporting environment for a global business. Additionally, I engaged and managed regional sales teams on product strategy and marketing to develop a diverse client base.Highlights associated with this role include developing a B2B client business from scratch, which included developing and executing a sales and product strategy for Asia, to create a franchise generating significant revenue. Further Achievements• Played an instrumental role in the development of a global trading book working with offices in London, Paris and New York.• Successfully developed an e-commerce capability in Asia, becoming the biggest liquidity provider globally by both volume and market share on electronic platforms for USD rate derivatives.• Managed sales teams across a number of countries in Asia to develop a robust and broad client set. • Leveraged global capabilities to develop viable value propositions for clients.
