Management and administration.

Starting out as a pre-press operator, I quickly moved on to general concept design and finish within the associated design studio (Ignite QP). This involved working directly with a lot of Micro and SME business owners and entrepreneurs developing all manner of media items and introductory advice on how marketing intersects with promotion and branding. This self interest area was soon relished by new clients, as we sought to provide them with strategically developed designs based on their marketing strategy and client needs. From there I was asked to take the role of Co-ordinating the officially formed creative arm of the business, which involved co-ordinating a team of 4, whilst still actively involved in creative development, project management, and client management.

I started with this company in my first senior year of high school. I liked the manner of which the company worked (and the above award wage which they paid for age brackets). I particularly enjoyed the various opportunities and variety of task options available and covered most during my time there. These include: Cash/Register Sales, Courtesy Desk/ Returns, Layby, Area/Floor staff, Night Fill, Refit Labour, and finally concluding with me being a supervisor of the sales and courtesy desk staff (up to 12 staff to managed in day to day operations). Duties included: Staff roster refinement and allocation, Floor staff calls, cash/balancing, staff evaluations and review, plus more.
