From the time I was pounding nails as a high schooler, I loved building things.  Twenty years since I enrolled as a young construction co-op, I am proud to have worked my way up to president of BOND Civil & Utility, a growing New England-based company. How did that happen?  I had – and still have – great mentors at BOND. It’s the kind of company where you join, stay, and thrive because of the family feel. I think this shows in the quality of service and product we give our clients. Now that it’s my turn to lead, I believe the best way to build structures is to build people.  Recruiting talent to the construction industry isn’t easy. One of my most important tasks is promoting construction as a viable and sustainable career path for young people. Within the BOND family of companies, we pay close attention to training, development, and diversity and this has resulted in industry-leading retention and low attrition. With the accelerating energy transition creating so many opportunities in our line of work, it’s an ideal time to start a career with us.  My family and I love living in New England, and it feels great to build a future here. I grew up around animals and farms, and I try to pass some of that country experience on to my two girls, who enjoy riding horses. My own riding is done mostly on a bike, and, in 2022, included the two-day, 200-mile Pan-Mass Challenge, which raises money for cancer research in my community.    The BOND Group’s slogan is “Many strengths.
