I am an osteopath with a holistic vision of healthcare. My training has included naturopathy and acupuncture and I hold an MA in Complementary Health Studies from Exeter University. I have practiced in the independent sector since 1985 and spent five years in the NHS at the Marylebone Health Centre which has pioneered the integration of complementary therapies in primary care for the last two decades. I was a senior lecturer at the University of Westminster and from 1995 to 2002 was the director of the MSc programmes in complementary therapies at the University's School of Integrated Health. My goal is to work towards an integrated medicine that draws on the best of mainstream and complementary medicine.My research interests are in the clinical evaluation of complementary therapies. As well as being a member of the research team at the British School of Osteopathy between 1995 and 1997, I was senior lecturer in Osteopathic Methods at the London School of Osteopathy 94-97 where I taught musculoskeletal diagnosis and treatment.I am the author of the books:Research Made Easy in Complementary Medicine by Churchill LivingstoneBoosting Your Digestive Health by Mitchell Beazley.
