Principal (Simulation, Analytics And Automation)
CurrentAurecon is an engineering, design and advisory company based in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Quartile One was a global Asset Management business, helping transition asset intensive industries to quartile one performance. In April 2019, Quartile One was acquired by Aurecon and integrated into its advisory function.Starting as Principal Asset Performance in Aurecon’s Advisory team, I have recently moved into the Industrial Engineering function and lead the Simulation, Analytics and Automation capability area. The team performs consulting projects helping clients to make the right asset decisions, and to maximise outcomes from investments made in their asset base. This includes simulation of complex systems of assets (e.g. mines, heavy haulage rail, terminals and ports) to provide insights on capital investment and engineering scenarios.Across this and my prior role, key responsibilities and achievements include: * Member of leadership team, contributing to strategy development and business planning. * Team leadership, including establishing business strategy. * Execution of strategy including offering design, business development, winning work, and project delivery. This has included managing the Quartile One team’s integration into Aurecon, and for my new team, a turn-around to re-establish and grow the capability.* Securing, leading and contributing to projects including: Automation/Operational Technology strategies with major mining houses; Development of decision support tools including Short Interval Control and performance dashboard projects with mining clients; Discrete event simulation and analytics projects, supporting decision making for mines, heavy haulage rail, export/freight terminals, and ports * Establish, manage and grow relationships with key clients * Engagement with industry groups and other forums to maintain currency on trends and secure funding/IP development opportunities (e.g. led Aurecon’s contribution into CRC TiME).
