This included developing the process of manualmanufacturing, manual assembly, tracking and trending mistakes, as well as, training.• Designed the processes, quality control, and documentation to ensure product production efficiency from laboratory inception tomanufacturing.• Established, designed, managed, and trained operators to the process, procedures, and standards to ensure accountability prior to andafter shipping of prototype and production units.• Created the specifications for ISO 9000 certification for when it will be needed in the future.

• Redesigned a new piece of equipment and preparing an RFQ that will replace three existing, outdated, and antiquated units. The new equipment will save manufacturing approx. $360,000 per year.• Managed and oversaw the delivery, testing, debugging, and quality testing of a new piece of automated equipment that replaced a manual process. Trained the operators as well as established the baseline data for the interacting screens. Continually overseeing the operator and the manufacturing log files to resolve sequence and mechanical issues and to enhance efficiency. This equipment will save manufacturing approx. $360,000 per year.

• In charge of hands-on oversight of three automation devices, robots as well as a multitude of mechanical devices, reviewing daily faults in efficiencies and keeping the devices operating properly.• Analyzed and evaluated the manufacturing line process and data of the fiber paths looking for cost reduction opportunities. One of which resulted in a decrease of approx. 15 reels per day being manually measured by an operator. This discovery will save manufacturing approx. $360,000 per year.• Investigated, designed and implemented a new fiber cutter, which reduced the production cost ($70,000 per year) as well as upgraded obsolete parts in the current system.

• Dissected a manufacturing line process and data in order to define and resolve the low vacuum pressure for a long-term resolution. Reducing the strain on the system with multiple design changes will make the current system more efficient and cost effective. Solution was to separate the vacuum systems to have less strain as well as buy a new vacuum motor to supply half of the manufacturing line in order to be rid of the issue even with line speed upgrades.• Presented weekly to a Technical Review team as well as an overall intern presentation at the end of my term.
