The Cloud Engineer role is part of a highly technical team within Digital Services that is primarily responsible for the maintenance, support, and management of BREs cloud environment within Microsoft Azure to meet or exceed agreed service levels. Whilst BRE also host its own Data Centres, support and maintenance of physical & virtual servers, central data storage, security appliances is also required. The primary purpose of this role is to provide proactive and reactive support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of these IT services.Responsibilities· Put the customer at the centre of all IT do and build and maintain relationships with business representatives to ensure appropriate and agreed services are delivered.· Ensure high availability of BRE IT Infrastructure and Services that meet BRE’s changing business needs.· Contribute to continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives within BRE.· Help ensure Information Security best practices are followed and that all work is compliant with internal and external audit requirements.· Help ensure governance on BRE’s cloud environments to delivery operational excellence.· Contribute to the implementation of ITIL best practice processes.· Out of hours maintenance work will be required when the need arises to limit the impact on critical business services

The IT Core Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the delivery of back-office, network and security services that underpin all End-User IT Services that BRE provide to all internal Customers (BRE staff, associates and approved contractors) and has the responsibility to ensure telephony and presentation technology is available when needed.Responsibilities• Work with external partners to maintain LAN & WAN network connectivity (both wired & wireless), install/configure routers, switches and security devices (such as firewalls, web application firewalls, mail gateways, log management and mobile device management solutions).• Support high-quality, reliable, available and secure IT Core Infrastructure Services that meet BRE changing business needs, including but not limited to the installation of new devices, monitoring, maintenance and documentation of BRE configurations.• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives leading to the modernisation of BRE’s IT Core Infrastructure environment, including the tools and technologies used to configure, monitor, support, manage and secure the infrastructure.• Support the diagnostic, isolation, fault resolution, remediation and recovery of; network, data centre and security-related service incidents.• Contribute to the development of physical & virtual server and network hardware & software configuration standards, monitor and report on capacity & utilisation.• Help ensure Information Security best practice is followed always.• Contribute to the support of IT and AV equipment in BREs conference and meeting rooms, to develop Conference Suite Services into a viable commercial product.
