Designed and implemented compiler features for standards compliance and performance enhancements on Unix and Linux operating systems including:Implementation of transactional memory model in compiler front-end for multi-threaded programming with extensions to command-line interface, modifications to parser and syntax tree for new constructs. Design and implementation of features to support generic programming ( templates) including default template parameters, template function overloading, explicit instantiation, partial specialization, template friends, template function matching, template instantiation, template-template parameters and member templates. Design and implementation of precompiled headers support to improve compile-time performance. Design and implementation of include guard optimization to improve compiler-time performance. Implementation of compile-time improvements for templates: use of comdat ELF section for template instantiation.

Worked with clients on critical database problems and client-server issues. Analyzed Oracle RDBMS problems, networking and Netware issues. Responsible for software quality evaluation and training.

Designed and implemented software testing and analysis tool. Extended C compiler front end to capture program control flow and data flow information during parse phase. Automated construction of various program graphs to aid in analysis. Extension of system to C++ compiler.Instructor for courses on C programming and C/Unix programming. Responsibilities included lectures, course planning, development of projects, assignments and exams, grading and awarding final student grades, and assistance with student projects.
