I am a Social Worker with over 5 years of experience in mental health service provision and mental health/policy research. I completed my Master of Social Work Degree at the University of Toronto in 2022, with a focus in Mental Health & Health and specialization in Community Development. I am interested in mental health, social innovation and policy development and implementation science. I am currently working with Douglas Research Centre on multiple projects focusing on national policy implementation and subsequent challenges and opportunities of successful implementation across Canada. I believe that our mental health is profoundly a product of our identity and subsequent interaction with the world. As a mental health practitioner, my approach to psychotherapy is grounded in decolonial anti-oppression and social justice, and I understand health as an ongoing reflection of our material realities.
