Captain Kanwar Singh is the Assistant Team Lead, Defense Cyber Operations Element (DCOE), MA Army National Guard. He is responsible for leading a team that provides secure communication applications, capabilities and infrastructure for military operations. He previously served as a Network Operations Officer in the 126th Cyber Protection Battalion and a Platoon Leader for the 26th Network Support Company, 26th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade (MEB). He started his career as a Network Operations Officer and acting Brigade S6 in HHC, 26th MEB. He has completed the Signal Captains Career Course (SCCC), Pre-Command Course, Signal Basic Officer Leader's Course as well as a Warfighter Exercise with the 26th MEB. He has also mobilized for State Active Duty during the civil unrest in 2020. He enlisted in 2015 and went through the National Guard State OCS program for his commissioning. He led the creation of the first-ever Innovation/Design Thinking and Artificial Intelligence Trainings for the National Guard and serves on the Massachusetts National Guard Innovation Team (MANGIT).His military decorations include the US Army Commendation Medal (with 1 oak leaf cluster), US Air & Space Commendation Medal, US Air Force Achievement Medal, US Army Achievement Medal and German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge. He has also completed six Boston Marathon Marches representing the MA Army National Guard (with first place finish in the 2022, 2023 & 2024 marches).
