I travel around the country discussing my book, The Reading Promise, and helping families incorporate more reading in their daily lives. Highlighted or keynote speaker for National Council of Teachers of English, American Library Association, National Center for Family Literacy, International Reading Association, etc.

As one-third of P'unk's Executive Leadership team (in partnership with CCO and CEO), provide guidance on all high level decisions.-Directly oversee all People Operations, including but not limited to procedures, process and implementation for recruiting, hiring, onboarding, management, career pathing, compensation, retention,mediation, performance reviews, discipline and off-boarding.-Select and manage benefits, including selecting health insurance plans and managing open enrollment, Zenefits, e-verify, etc.-Manage Operations Coordinator and oversee all operations tasks on a high level, including the management of our office space and technological needs as well as payroll, expenses, events, etc.-Provide management oversight and executive coaching to all Directors, including regularly scheduled and ad-hoc one-on-ones.-Create internal and external communications, including organizing and leading all company meetings, writing for our blog, and PR.-Represent P'unk in the community, via talks and at events.-Provide high-level research, brand strategy and copy, as well as account management, on select client work.

Hired as Associate Director of Marketing and Development, I began by organizing years of jumbled financial records and fixing atrophied donor relationships. I created processes and procedures to prevent future issues. Wrote and edited grants throughout my tenure. I was then promoted to Director of Marketing and Communications. In that role I:-Managed all PR, including coverage in USA Today, CNN, CNBC, People, Newsweek and all local radio, print and television media. -Single-handedly created and managed new school website.-Created new school magazine and annual report. Wrote all content, managed all photo shoots, and worked closely with designers. -Managed all social media platforms through organic reach principles and saw significantly increased followers and engagement.-Created and managed all internal and external communications, from snow alerts to presidential letters and speeches.-Created and managed all fundraising campaigns, including end of year and Giving Tuesday, through mail, email, social media and events.-Organized communications for and coverage of all external events, including Girard College's 50th Anniversary of Desegregation.

I create media content, such as videos, podcasts, webinars, social media posts and more, surrounding our products and programs to keep our both our customers and employees informed. I write, sketch, present, record, direct and generally find the best ways to tell our story and discuss our exciting endeavors. Managing teams or working on my own, I'm at my happiest when I'm dreaming up a new solution to an old problem.

Wrote and promoted my book, The Reading Promise. Gained valuable experience in social media/marketing. Appeared on such programs as The CBS Evening News, Fox and Friends, and The Today Show. Bestselling author for the Los Angeles Times, Barnes and Noble, and indieBound. The Reading Promise has been translated into Chinese, Italian, Korean, Polish, and Spanish and is currently being adapted into a major motion picture by Walden Media and Relativity Media.

Taught theater, writing, and public speaking to children ages 4 through 14.
