WESTEC has been established by Kapil Kumar Sen. A marine engineer by profession , he has served in the Merchant Navy from 1976 to 1988 in various capacities in Indian and foreign shipping companies. Chief engineer from 1983 to 1988. During his interaction with several industries it was seen that there was a definite need for quality & innovative assembly tools which provided solutions to meet modern manufacturing demands of durability, reliability & accuracy at competitive prices.WESTEC was established in 1988 & started its operations from a modest 300 sq feet office at Andheri, a suburb of Mumbai. In 2006 WESTEC established its 2nd office at CBD Belapur , Navi Mumbai. The office comprises of two floors complete with calibration laboratory for our Torque Wrenches & Digital Torque Testers.
