I started with Texas Commerce Bank in 1984 at the Hurst, Texas location. I was hired to supervise lobby and drive thru tellers with a staff of twelve to fifteen tellers. I was first hired as a mail teller at Riverside State Bank in July of 1979. After three months, I was promoted to vault teller and responsible for distribution of all cash/coin to commercial/retail tellers. Total cash responsibility of vault teller was four to five million dollars. Other responsibilities included working commercial deposit bags, taking in commercial customer’s loose coin, determining cash needs of tellers weekly, working retail/commercial teller window, and shipping excess cash through armored carrier to corresponding bank.
