By sharing resources, both agencies save taxpayers' money as well as establishing a good working relationship between the agencies and their employees. Helped established their Informaiton Technology Network between the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office, Buffalo County Attorney's Office and Kearney, Nebraska's City Police Department on their AS/400 Server in order to share information between agencies. This is the first time this was ever performed in the nation which led other agencies nationwide to follow suite in joint law enforcement information sharing.Created a Geographical Emergency Information System of local businesses in Kearney, NE for quick access into such businesses using Visual Basic 3.0. System gave emergency personnel critical information of access to businesses, location of fire fighting equipment and locations of both MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and hazardous materials.
