Successfully develops, organizes, and creatively delivers to the Kwajalein Community events of July 4th, Kwajalein Island Memorial Chapel Luau, Labor Day, Oktoberfest, Zombie Run, Halloween Party, Swashbuckler’s Party, Shaving Cream Social, The Richardson Theater Re-Grand Opening Kwaj Parade, Tree Lighting Ceremony, Holiday Party featuring local band, New Year’s Eve, special Starlight Concert Series and Mardi Gras. Planning entertainment and program activities, introduces entertainers, emceeing events, plans the location, set up, and layout of events, and monitors attendance. Develops and delivers event briefings for the Command Team. Devises, improvises, and adapts activities to the wide range of participants interests and needs considering limitation of decorations, materials/supplies, weather, facilities, equipment, collaboration, volunteers, staff support, etc. Responsible for space configurations, beginning with organizing tables, chairs audio/video equipment from storage to actual setup of furniture/equipment/decorations in accordance with established event orders Interfaces with designated Government Representative (COR) to assure smooth operations and compliance with government directives. Designs and establishes marketing and public relations strategies to ensure target populations are informed of MWR events, services and activities.Supervises programs, services, and staff for the areas of the Library, Hobby Shop (ceramic/s/pottery & woodworking shop), and Bowling Operations. Mentors, coaches and supervises a combined total of 33 individuals of expats and Marshallese team members.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:October 2023, The Garrison Commander asked that I speak at the Community Information Exchange about the upcoming events. I made the local newspaper, the Kwajalein Hourglass, October 28, 2023, Volume 64, Number 43. One half of the J & K radio show. A once a week one hour radio show discussing upcoming events and activities on Kwajalein.

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTSOctober 2021, I was contacted by an Instructor at the School for FMWR. They were developing a pilot program of an Executive Chief course for the School for FMWR for up-and-coming FMWR Directors. They received a copy of the Major Construction Processes and Phases briefing that I created and asked if they could add it as a resource for this course. I collaborated with the instructors developing a comprehensive class for the construction portion for this course. The class was held in February 2022 and was a success. After participating in the TEB (Technical Evaluation Board) for the Fort Leonard Wood, Outdoor Adventure Center project, only one bidder was rated satisfactory, even though all cost proposals were significantly over-budget. The only satisfactory bidder was $900K over the project budget. By researching indoor firing ranges, I came across an innovative concept, Modular Containerized Indoor Firing Ranges, analyzing this concept that could reduce the cost of the project. Through additional research, I located copies of two Government RFPs for modular containerized indoor firing ranges that we’ll be able to reference when the SOW/RFP is written. Additional actions that were taken, I found three companies in the United States that manufacture Modular Containerized Indoor Firing Ranges, this will allow for competitive bidding when this project is re-solicited under the new IDIQ Design-Build contract. By thinking outside the box, I saved this project to move forward and not be canceled. RECONGITION / AWARDSMay 2022 received a coin from CG IMCOM LTG Gabram for my performance of duty. October 2021 received a Meritorious Civilian Service Medal for exceptional service and performance of duty.February 2021 during my first year as Construction Analyst, received an Achievement Medal for Civilian Service for my exceptional and outstanding performance of duty.

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTSSubcontract Technical Representative/Project Manager for a Structural Rehabilitation Repair of 56,000 square foot multi-tenant building (including two floors of TDY lodging) budget of $4.3 million located at Kwajalein Atoll US Army Garrison. Conducted in-depth cost analysis of all aspects of a contractor’s proposal to include make-or-buy decisions. Analyzed contractor’s projected estimated costs for reasonableness. Performed project management plans, Quality Control, and safety for 37 various structural design unit-prices, based on region specific/unique repair methodologies for structural exterior columns and beams and briefed USAG-KA DPW on status with structural loss up to 100%. Notified the government officer from Department of Public Works (DPW) of all potential conflicts and to inform the garrison of upcoming work. Developed, updated, monitored, and tracked project quantities (37 various structural design units) against budget. Examined and reviewed quantity, price trends and elevated cost issues. Controlled project costs, including weekly check, forecasting, and reporting. Collected, monitored, developed documents that analyzed cost and project data throughout project lifecycle for lessons learned and building database/budgeting for similar structural repairs on Kwajalein in the future.Chair-lead of the Strategy Team with Stakeholders in developing plans and specifications for future projects. Project managed, provided direction to the subcontracted architectural/engineering firm (A&E firm) for the development of structural, construction, interior renovations, and corrosion control drawings, coordinated design review amongst Stakeholders. Conduct internal/external QC-technical evaluations for each cost proposal/estimate and scope of work (SOW) and assisted with bid clarification.

Managed projects throughout eight Midwest states from home office in Minnesota providing design and construction project management for facility capital projects, facility planning, renovations, asset preservation, space utilizations, and office move relocations. Project managed and coordinated the implementation of plans, scopes, design, construction, and direction of projects through site visits and conference calls. Consulted with internal clients, analyzed program requirements, defined scope, developed budgets, and created design layout plans. Performed price/cost analysis for a variety of procurement actions. Implemented overall designs referencing facility design guide and incorporating industry trends, construction solutions, space planning, furniture, interior design, marketing/signage, artwork, security and bank equipment.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:Years 1998 – 2005 project managed multiple small scale design and construction projects. Years 2005 - 2009 project manager on 18 remodels/renovations and team constructing 12 new retail facilities. Managed a special banking project throughout 428 locations in 11 states. This project tested my communication skills as a project manager; to gathering all the requirements, then executing, monitoring, & controlling, and to the final closeout of the project. Created site survey/checklist, obtained/reviewed floorplans/pictures of every branch, determined if an electrical outlet, voice/data jack, ADA compliance furniture/chair and signage/marketing was available, if not, coordinate & place order and installation for each by the deadline. Follow up with upper management with updates per branch in each state and paid invoices.
