As a Co-op and Career Advisor at Lambton College in Toronto, I help students prepare for the journey from post secondary to workforce. This can be a scary yet exciting time for most students and my role is to make the transition that much easier and as successful as possible. From Co-op Preparation courses to individually tailored one-on-one advising - student success is at the forefront of my career.o Advise international students one on one by providing resume and cover letter critiquing, mock interviews, and job search techniques.o Teach Co-op Preparation courses to groups of 30 to 50 international students in order to better prepare them for the transition between education and workforce environments.o Aid students in the preparation of individualized Co-op Action Plans by helping them to understand the importance of goal setting using S.M.A.R.T goals. o Facilitate presentations on the Canadian Labour Market to an audience of 1000 students as part of orientation.

o Implemented an Applicant Tracking System to aid in the recruitment process and improve efficiency.o Designed a marketing campaign targeted at post-secondary students specifically recent graduates and those who are co-op eligible. o Developed job descriptions and postings by conducting the appropriate research and analysis of market trends to better attract qualified candidates.o Performed full cycle recruitment: resume screening, selection, facilitation of interviews, and onboarding.

o Helped to lead a team of 10 executives to optimize and improve student engagement with the HRA and UOIT student population.o Organized and coordinated various events and employer showcases to educate students and promote involvement within the profession of Human Resources.o Received “Energizer” award in recognition of contributions to the HRA as Vice President.

o Spearheaded the rebranding of UOIT's Career Centre to improve student involvement and use of services – this was adopted and is still in use by the Career Centre currently.o Mentored students through the development of effective marketing materials to aid in a more successful job search.o Assisted in recruitment processes within the Career Centre as well as the coordination of career fairs and employer showcases. o Delivered career related workshops to large groups of students effectively and interactively.

o Assessed student’s examinations and capabilities using strong understanding of educational content and curriculum.
