Supervise, direct and train a team of up to 12 full-time employees; as well as onboard and supervise temporary employees. ◼ Ensure the Accounts Payable month end close process is completed timely and accurately by continuously monitoring the progress through the period. ◼ Collaborate with the Accounting Department for month end accruals by preparing journal entries for the senior management team. ◼ Lead the Accounts Payable Department through significant growth and market expansion, including implementation of two system conversions. ◼ Responsible for processing the following on a recurring basis: Wire transfers up to the amount of $1.7 Million, Journal Entries, Accruals, Reconciling Vendor Statements, Maintaining W9 and Yearly 1099 Files. ◼ Exercise knowledge of the business by forecasting problems and creating solutions to continuously improve the process of the AP Department. ◼ Review all invoices, ensure proper coding and maintain strong vendor relationships through good communication and problem solving. ◼ Supervise a department which processes 25,000 to 30,000 invoices, on average, per month. ◼ Recognize, organize, and prioritize business critical issues related to the Accounts Payable Department to sustain a low number of escalated events.
