I help nonprofits do business better. As founder and principal of The Change Up Group, I partner with organizations to help change up their development systems and fundraising communications to streamline operations and build an efficient foundation for sustainable success. Prior to starting The Change Up Group, I served as Director of Development Operations for the Los Angeles LGBT Center, a national organization with a $240M+ annual operating budget. I managed a plurality of fundraising operations and a 23-person development team, emphasizing revenue generation, team development, data management, and department-wide budgeting. I also managed the operations for the Center's $50M Capital Campaign. While at the Center, I served on a multitude of interdepartmental committees tasked with defining strategic priorities for the Center, which helped hone my ability for big thinking, consensus building, and strategic implementation. I have a Master’s degree in History from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor’s degree in History from California State University, Northridge. When I’m not guiding clients toward greater success, I can usually be found fishing or watching the Chicago Cubs with my partner and two sons.
