With a solid foundation in Biological Sciences from the University of Missouri, I’ve developed a passion for exploring how infectious diseases affect human health. My journey began as an undergraduate researcher, where I spent over three years in a virology lab studying COVID-19. This hands-on experience gave me a deeper understanding of science and a strong sense of purpose in my field.I later moved into clinical research, working as a Clinical Research Coordinator in Orthopaedic Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. There, I helped bridge the gap between lab research and patient care by coordinating clinical trials aimed at improving medical treatments and patient outcomes. Now, as a Ph.D. student in Infection and Immunity, I’m focused on the complex interactions between pathogens, genetic diseases, and the immune system. I’m excited to uncover new insights that could lead to innovative treatments and advances in precision medicine.I’m a strong communicator, team player, and dedicated worker who thrives in collaborative, forward-thinking environments.
