I spent afternoons alone watching the other kids play and felt left out.This gave me an opportunity to imagine what I wanted to do with my life and how I could transform this sad situation. At some point my I decided my mother was no longer going to pick out my clothes and I started shopping for myself. I discovered I had a knack for putting together outfits and when I showed up at school, people took notice and started treating me differently. I thought wow I can't be the other one that has experienced this, others must have felt this way too!
