About Kara Altman

I began my career on Wall Street, as the only female on a derivatives trading desk. I transitioned to sales, working in advertising, pharma, and ultimately disruptive medical technology & devices. I have worked in the most prestigious teaching hospitals in San Francisco and NYC, across a myriad of medical specialties, representing and launching groundbreaking technologies that, often times, completely change a physician’s treatment algorithm. I have worked directly with patients, physicians, and hospital groups and administrators. Others would describe me as a scrappy, clever, ambitious rep with a hunter mentality who thinks outside the box in order to expand adoption or solve a problem. Wait until you hear some of my stories of how I got in front of people! I am relentlessly positive, with strong business acumen, and understand the balance between patience and persistence in order to achieve results. In every one of my roles, I have broken sales records, exceeded quotas, and was proud to be awarded President’s Club in 2022. The best part of this success is the fact that so many patients’ lives were impacted, and I got to play a part in that.
