Steering a portfolio of projects valued at $72 million at the National Science Foundation, I engage with researchers on projects across the sciences funded by NSF. My focus on data analytics and modelling allows me to make data-driven and evidence-based decisions for the program. I have introduced machine learning techniques that drastically reduce the dwell time on proposal categorization, enabling more efficient merit review process. My analytics pipeline allows rapid evaluation of portfolio balance over time.As a bioanthropologist, I have introduced the concepts of resilience and adaptation to the study of past populations. As an olfactory scientist, I have introduced context-based ecological analysis of olfactory performance and variation in humans across space and in evolutionary time. My work uses a mix of qualitative and quantitative data skills using small and big data and advanced ML approaches.With a solid background in statistical analysis and a commitment to best practices in data management, we've built standard data models essential for program analysis and leadership decision-making. My work empowers the NSF’s mission, leveraging technology to transform program management and foster scientific innovation.
