The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) coordinates state services for New Yorkers with developmental and intellectual disabilities. My duties ➤ As the CPIO, I was charged with revamping the agency’s public image and encouraging the public to focus on the person rather than their developmental disability. 📌 Accomplishments◾ Recruited and directed new talent to execute the new vision, including copywriters and graphic designers.◾ Created a people-first core brand, "Putting People First" which was carried out through various print, radio and television mediums and branded giveaways.◾Executing the campaign, with an emphasis on display advertising and high visual impact aimed at thousands of pedestrians at the New York State Concourse Plaza during Disability Awareness Month.
