During her career with Rohm and Haas, a company that employed more than 15,000 employees in 100+ manufacturing, technical research and customer service sites in more than 27 countries, Ms. Gordon held positions of increasing responsibility, including EEO/Diversity Counsel, Employment Law Counsel, Senior Counsel and Assistant General Counsel. Her final role prior to the acquisition of Rohm and Haas by The Dow Chemical Company on April 1, 2009 was Assistant General Counsel for Global Employment Matters and ERISA Benefits. Ms. Gordon was also an advisor to the Company’s Executive Council on employment and other matters. Ms. Gordon was responsible for the Company’s global employment-related legal affairs, managing outside law firms in litigation and providing advice and counsel to the Company on a variety of global employment and benefits related legal issues.
Attorney-Advisor To The Third Judicial Circuit Of The U.S.
Ms. Gordon began her legal career working for the federal courts with the Third Judicial Circuit of the United States in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She served first as counsel to a federal Task Force on Equal Treatment in the Courts led by Chief Judge Dolores K. Sloviter and later as Attorney/Advisor to the Court under the late Chief Judge Edward R. Becker, working with the Circuit Executive on a variety of special projects for the Third Circuit Judicial Council and the Judicial Council of the United States. At the time of Ms. Gordon's federal court service, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito was also on the Third Circuit bench.
