Marketing:Helped design and execute short-term marketing plan. Included website design improvement, blog launch and content writing, product promotion, social media management on Instagram and Facebook, and running promotional booths at expos.

Personnel Management:Hired, trained, and managed eight staff members from United States and Great Britain. Managed Group Rental Program AssistantHorse Farm Management:Cared for 30+ horses by providing basic veterinary care, feeding, pasture management, stall cleaning, facility maintenance, purchasing and leasing horses. Managed program budget, made improvements to existing program, coordinated weekly volunteers. Riding Instructor:Taught group lessons in basic horsemanship, beginner huntseat, western, and overfence riding kids and adults. Trained eight staff members to teach riding lessons and provide a safe environment around the barn.

Restructured entire Riding Program for the first time in several decades, which resulted in an increase from 90 to 98% in average customer satisfaction evaluations, less injuries to staff and horses, and better relationships between the Riding Program and the Camp’s administration and our external suppliers of the horses and the horse care supplies. Created a new managerial assistant position, which increased logistical efficiency and improved system for handling staff morale issues. Trained 6 new staff to ride, handle horses, teach riding lessons, and to deliver exceptional customer service to all campers. Worked 12-20 hrs per week to support college expenses. Job responsibilities included providing customer service for dorm residents, managing paperwork, and communicating with other employees to solve customer service issues.

Worked with 12 other executive board members to create a new vision for the organization that distinguished and added membership value to MSUHA. Developed aggressive outreach strategy for growth of program, which increased general membership by 30%, increased participation in MSUHA activities, and 120% increase in funds from association fundraising events.

Created my own position to design a more efficient feeding program at Camp Michigania. Surpassed MSUHA fundraising goal. Show raised $12,000, and had largest number of participants in the last decade; with approximately 120 exhibitors and nearly 800 entries. Elected as lead organizer, planner, and manager for MSUHA’s largest annual fundraiser. Organized a show committee to create a plan and delegate tasks for show execution, which included the recruitment of 30 volunteers and the utilization of social media and advertising strategies to increase attendance and participation.

Worked in a team of 6 wranglers to care for 40 horses and mules, guiding tours through the Grand Tetons. Individually, created the ranch’s first riding program designed specifically for kids staying at the ranch. Program included individualized attention to improve rider confidence in riding and horse-handling abilities. Children were given multi-dimensional education by riding horses in an enclosed arena and on trails in the mountains, as well as learning to handle horses in the barn. This resulted in higher ranch guest satisfaction and higher numbers of child participation in ranch’s riding program.
