I have extensive expertise in health literacy principles, project management, writing, and editing/copyediting experience. I have co-authored 12 publications, 4 of which I was the lead author. I currently serve as a manuscript reviewer for the Journals of Applied Gerontology, Alzheimer's & Dementia: Translational Research & Clinical Interventions, & Religion and Health. Oral presentations with audience engagement, custom tailoring patient educational materials, and health-promotion intervention development are my key strong suits. Dissertation Topic: Examining health literacy and medical discrimination in Black caregivers of persons living with dementia using mixed methods, and exploring literacy as a factor of inequities in underserved communities.
