I have always loved to help people, and I’m incredibly fortunate to be able to put my passion for serving others to use as a Family Service Counselor with Dignity Memorial. I became extremely intrigued by the idea of death at a very young age. What began as a fear grew into fascination as I learned more and more about the topic, everything from what happens when we die to different cultural perspectives on death and dying. When the opportunity arose to join Dignity Memorial in a role that could draw from my experience, and most importantly be in sync with my personal values, I jumped at it. Helping people through times of loss, and helping them prepare for the inevitable (ultimately offering peace of mind to the loved ones they’ll leave behind), is truly an honor. The work I do as a Family Service Counselor with Dignity Memorial is more than just a job to me; it’s an extension of who I am as a person and it’s just one way I am going to make my time on earth truly worthwhile.
