About Kara Kelley

I’m a digital marketing professional with 8+ years of experience in both agency and corporate settings. Born and raised in the Greater Philadelphia area, I attended Penn State University and graduated in 2016 with a BA in Public Relations and minors in both Sociology and Business. After graduation, I moved to Northern NJ to pursue a career in digital marketing with a focus on social media.During my 3+ years at a full-service digital advertising agency, I worked on the account team as the primary contact for a variety of consumer brands. Serving as the creative agency for these clients, I planned, developed, and executed a variety of social-first and digital campaigns. Given that I was working at a small agency, I wore many hats beyond client services. It was during this time that I first realized my passion for social media strategy. In August of 2019, I made the jump to corporate and spent 2 years at GAF, North America's largest roofing manufacturer. Specializing in social media as a member of the Communications team, my role focused on a variety of topics including social content strategy and development, reporting / analytics, agency management, and even employee advocacy.I decided to head back to the agency side in July of 2021 - this time tackling a new focus area - pharmaceuticals. I joined Digitas Health on their Engagement Strategy team, focusing on DTC derm social media content strategy.
