HEATHROW EXPANSION Skills Partnership formed in response to Skills Taskforce recommendations led by Lord BlunkettKey Achievements : • Identification of Apprenticeship areas for development and added value elements as unique selling points, including; cost savings to employer training budgets: HR (CIPD) Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and Project Management (PMQ) • Obtained Apprenticeship levy commitment from employers; first year £1.2m and secured the National Accounts. • Fundamental player in the tender process for full outsource delivery at Heathrow Employment and Skills Academy; the tender was awarded and in addition to Apprenticeship Delivery the business secured the full contract for outsourced provision, including Recruitment, Training and Community engagement. • Redesign and implementation of the delivery schedule for Functional Skills; 114 Apprentices completed and achieved within first eight months. • Construction Strategic Skills Forum: in response to the requirements of the sector, redesigned the pre-employment training support in partnership with specialist provision and secured industry related work placements for participants with local employers.• Skills Partnership: design, develop and implementation of the Partnership Agreement and continuing management therein, in line with the Heathrow 2:0 strategy • Collaborate on the design of new qualifications and negotiate for the delivery of others through the Skills Partnership for their contribution towards the Heathrow 2.0 targets.• Collaborate with the consortium of Colleges and Universities through the Skills Partnership for the increased in delivery of Higher Level Apprenticeships.
