Safety Coordinator
Current• Conduct defensive driver training sessions, providing drivers with essential skills and knowledge to enhance safety on the road.• Conduct job task observations, including pre-trip inspections, loading, driving, and unloading, to ensure compliance with safety protocols and identify areas for improvement.• Provide support in incident investigations and reporting, assisting in determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.• Conduct post-incident training sessions and obtained driver sign-offs to reinforce safe practices and prevent future incidents.• Review and monitored hours of service (HOS) and electronic logbook (elog) compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations and addressing any violations.• Provide coaching to drivers for violations, offering guidance and support in addressing areas of non-compliance and promoting adherence to safety regulations.• Educate drivers on MOT (Ministry of Transportation) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, ensuring their understanding of the rules and requirements for compliance.• Assist drivers in navigating the complexities of MOT and DOT regulations, providing clarification and guidance on any changes or updates.• Conduct critical event reviews utilizing onboard cameras (OBC), analyzing and addressing instances of unsafe driving behavior or incidents.• Additional duties as required from time to time, demonstrating adaptability and versatility in addressing various safety-related responsibilities.
