About Dr. Karan Devasani, Ph.D.

As a Clinical Scientific Expert at Novartis India, I work in the therapeutic areas of cardiovascular and ophthalmology, performs clinical data review, protocol and IB review and communicating scientific results. I joined Novartis in July 2023, after completing my postdoctoral research in neuroscience at the University of South Florida where I investigated the molecular mechanisms/pathogenesis of Alzheimer's and stroke in transgenic mice models.I have a PhD in Pharmacology from University of Mumbai, where I received multiple research fellowships and scholarships. I also have a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Alameen College of Pharmacy and K L E Society's College of Pharmacy, respectively. I have developed strong skills in animal testing, surgical techniques, molecular biology, analytical instruments, and scientific communication and collaboration. I am passionate about advancing knowledge in preclinical, clinical, and healthcare systems and I seek to leverage my experience and skills to contribute to innovation and excellence.
