I lead a team of 2 Recruitment Partners and a Senior Recruitment Partner covering all aspects of Life Sciences, IT and Operations. I joined the new UK division of the business and was responsible for business development, and recruitment.

I was responsible for sourcing technical and scientific staff for clients based around the Oxfordshire region. My role involved business development, recruitment, candidate management and headhunting for permanent, contract and temporary positions. The roles varied from basic laboratory technician positions to senior management.

Working within a GMP compliant manufacturing facility, I was responsible for formulation, manufacturing, BMR/SOP documentation, auditing, clinical labeling and packaging. As a team leader I was responsible for a team of up to 10 technicians, depending on the size of the batch being produced and for my direct reports I managed training and development also.I was able to take on project work for a new vaccine facility, this included validation and testing of the new laboratories. I worked on process development and optimisation projects for proteins and biological's and the introduction of new technology and processes to the facilities.

As an Advisor for the Commercial Banking sector of the business, I was responsible for selling products to existing clients. I had sales targets to meet on a weekly basis whilst maintaining customer satisfaction. Not only did I exceed my own targets but I also set new sales records!

During my placement year I worked in the manufacturing and fermentation facilities. Responsible for the daily up-keep and maintenance of the labs and carrying out routine 96 well format fermentation with up-scale and elicitor work.Fantastic experience and a great team!
