I was responsible for producing organisation-wide reporting and analysis, monitoring data integrity and contributing to enhance performance in teaching and learning, ākonga engagement and achievement. This included providing analytical services, monitoring and reporting, planning, risk assessment and auditing, and supporting policy development. My key responsibilities included: analysing data to identify and monitor key areas of organisational strength and risk and supporting decision-making and practice; designing and producing tailored reports to user requirements; contributing to the development of meaningful measures for wāhanga and team performance and appropriate monitoring mechanisms; maintaining a data warehouse; using visualization tools to tell a story; and contributing to legislative compliance and providing ad-hoc analysis and advice as required.Contributions:• Produced progress indicators for annual reports and other mechanisms for tracking progress and achievement.• Created and developed complex macros that automate reports at required frequency, saving significant time.• Optimised reports by reducing a reliance on data in tabular form and shifting to visualisation tools.• Introduced Power BI dashboards to the day-to-day reporting structure at Te Kura.• Performed monthly presentations for the Te Kura Board of Trustees detailing the progress against KPI.• Conducted regular training sessions for staff to improve data literacy and inform reporting practices.

I was responsible for managing the Data and Analytics team and supporting the Chief Advisor Strategy in advancing data and analytics at Te Kura. This included managing the professional development of my direct report, auditing the data channels at Te Kura, building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and advocating for long term solutions to reccurring data related issues. My key responsibilities included: taking a proactive and big picture approach to data at the organisation; meeting with key internal stakeholders to promote a data integration and business intelligence project; conducting high level analyses on progress against KPIs; and reporting to the Chief Advisor Strategy and delegating tasks to the Performance Analyst as required.
