About Karan Sharma

As a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Penn State with a minor in Engineering Leadership Development, I have the skills and experience to tackle complex problems and find innovative solutions. I was working on a variety of projects at Wabtec Corporation (formerly GE Transportation) as a Project Engineer for Phoenix Technical Solutions, including the design and testing of engine components and the development of technical documents. My internships and hands-on experiences, including building a small-scale wind turbine, have helped me grow as an engineer and make meaningful contributions. In addition to my technical expertise, my minor in Engineering Leadership Development has given me the tools to effectively lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Through these experiences, I have built strong communication skills and am eager to continue learning and growing in my career. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes, reading fiction and philosophy, and sketching as a creative outlet. My latest hobby rabbit hole is tinkering with keyboards, and photography.
