o Performing safe phlebotomy, sample collection and transportation of sample.o Keeping updated records on all samples and results.o CD4 analysis and documentation, collection of dry blood spot DBS packaging and referral.o Ensuring excellent organization of the laboratory and it cleanliness..o Preparing stains, reagents, culture media and solutions for the performance of all lab tests.o Providing technical information about test to physician’s patients and researchers.o Staining smears (blood, sputum, aspirates, discharge, effusion) examining and reporting.o Registering results and dispatching them.o Storing of samples, controls and reagents to maintain their integrity according to recommended standards..o Specimen processing as per defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) and reporting of results within defined turnaround time (TAT).o Participating in the installation of new equipment, standardization, calibration and undertaking planned preventive maintenance.o Ensuring STAT and critical value reporting as per laboratory policy and reporting urgent samples on priority.o Ensuring calibration and internal quality control is performed as defined in SOPs according to the quality management system.o Maintaining IQC records, charts and quality indicator records on monthly basis and taking corrective measures as required.o Strict adherence to bio-safety measurement during specimen collection, lab procedures, disposing, storing and transportation of specimens.o Inducting, training new employees and intern in the laboratory.o Running Gene expert, ELISA, and DNA extraction.o Participating in training/ refresher trainings to continuously improve technical knowledge.
