Principal Software Engineer
CurrentAs an engineer in the League Studios Tech Foundations group, I work on technical projects that have studio- and company- level impact, while also participating in workgroups defining technical standards and serving as a project or technical lead as needed. I love this role because it allows me to leverage my expertise across web, game, mobile, service and infrastructure tech, lets me work directly with code, mentor and design, and also provides opportunities to build relationships across multiple disciplines and products.Duties include technical scoping, design and architecture, and defining tech strategy as well as coaching others both with technical approach and soft skills, such as interviewing. It requires expertise navigating a complex codebase that lasts for years, updates frequently and leverages many different technologies.
