Serving as the professional, institutional, and educational leader of the school, as head of school, I oversee all school administration, work with the board and staff to implement board policies, report to the board on all key areas, and represent the school to internal and external constituents. Additionally, I manage faculty, staff, and student selection, evaluation and dismissal, and develop and monitor the school's resources.

Policy creation and implementation, interfacing with Dorm Parents, the Psychologist, College Counselor, Teachers, Academic Advisor, and Learning Strategist regarding each student, conducting evaluation and assessment of all Academic Coaches and Tutors, Conducting evaluation and assessment of Learning Strategies Coordinator, all school communications with parents or guardians, timely response to parent and Education Consultant needs, conducting routine assessments of personnel, managing and administering all aspects of the Advisory program including: Advisor training, student placement, Advisory nights, and tracking advisory communication, planning and overseeing new student travel and orientation days (2nd semester), International Student Orientation Week, opening weekend Travel Day orientation for students, planning and overseeing all aspects of Fall Parent Weekend and February Family Weekend, managing and overseeing all Learning Services programs and tutoring services, managing and overseeing Home Stay program for short-term home stays, facilitate academic intervention protocols for struggling students, creation of individualized education plans

Management of peer tutoring, academic coaching, and content tutoring services, yearly training and evaluation of employees in tutoring services, parent communications, responsible for Academic Coaching & Tutoring Services Policy Handbook

Weekly communication with Educational Consultants/parents via email, phone, or Skype and in-person conferences biannually, monitor grades daily, administration of learning strategies curriculum, create individualized education plans with students, assist with all academic needs

Oversee communications within Wasatch Academy and manage how information is relayed outside of the school, public speaking on behalf of the school, and writing communications for constituents, including WA magazine articles and local newspaper write-ups. Parent relations; school communications to parents and educational consultants, daily communication with parents and other constituents, retention.

Provide tutoring to Wasatch Academy students, assist with developing study strategies, prepare for and administer tutorial lessons, assess the student’s progress and communicate to parents, participate in tutor training and in/out service programs.

Department Chair for Fine Arts; Responsible for curriculum development with full teaching load, Recitals and bi-annual music performances, and the management of fine arts faculty; increased employment by adding three part-time faculty members, expanded course offerings, and dramatically increased student participation in the program.
