It conducts thorough risk assessments for all patients, closely monitors infection rates, effectively manages outbreaks, provides rigorous training, develops and updates policies and guidelines, defines strict isolation protocols, promotes uncompromising hand hygiene, ensures the use of PPE, participates in vital research, leads efforts to achieve or maintain healthcare accreditation standards and offers expert consultation to minimize the transmission of infectious diseases. These services demand the utmost attention and adherence to best practices to protect patients, healthcare workers, and the community at large.
